One registration, two very different days

Day one is hands-on and instructional: two workshops followed by a two-hour build. Day two is competitive: brackets and matches across three games. Finishing day one is what unlocks your spot on day two.

Hands-on sessions cover the basics of web development and how to use AI tools responsibly while building.

Web basics

The fundamentals of HTML & CSS: adding images, changing backgrounds, building buttons, hyperlinks and cards, and getting comfortable with fonts and layout.

Workshop 2 — Swirl

Adding style

Taking a working page and giving it real personality — animation, spacing, and the small details that make a site feel finished.

Teams design, code, test and ship a website inspired by their assigned theme — all inside one focused window.

Completing day one is required to play on day two. Every registered team member needs to be present and participating in the 16 October hackathon to keep their seat at the 17 October gaming tournament.

The gaming tournament

Day two moves online — everyone competes from home starting 9:00 AM across three games. Pick your game when you register.

Day two is fully online, starting 9:00 AM — everyone plays from home. Bracket format, match rules and scoring for each game will be announced closer to the event. Only teams that complete day one are eligible to compete on day two.

Teacher and organiser presence throughout both days.
